There is just something about that "I made this!" feeling that never gets old.

Our Hat Bar workshops (open workshops) have quickly become a studio favorite here in Robinson Township, and it is easy to see why. It is more than just picking out a hat. It is about the laughs shared over the branding iron, the "oohs" and "ahhs" as you pick the perfect ribbon, and that final moment when you look in the mirror and see a piece of art that is totally YOU.

People see the beautiful finished signs and the laughing groups, but there’s a whole lot of "grit" that happens before the "glitter" ever comes out. 🎨✨

Behind every workshop here at Creative DIY Workshop is a whole lot of family-owned hustle. It’s the saw dust in my hair, the paint under my fingernails, and the late nights in Robinson Township spent prepping every piece of wood so your experience is perfect. Being a small business owner means wearing every hat: from the person sweeping the floors to the one teaching you how to use a stencil.

It’s messy, it’s hard work, and honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. This studio is a labor of love, and every single paint spill is worth it when I see the confidence and connection you build at our tables. Today was another great day at the WBEC-East Doing Business in Western PA Conference at Highmark.

I walked away with a ton of valuable information, but the real win was the connections. There were so many opportunities to meet business owners, corporate partners, and community leaders who are passionate about supporting and growing women-owned businesses.

One of the biggest takeaways was the importance of supplier diversity and creating opportunities for small businesses to grow. When larger organizations intentionally invest in diverse suppliers, it strengthens not only individual businesses but our entire region.

I also enjoyed hearing the economic outlook and business insights shared throughout the day. It's always helpful to hear what industry leaders are seeing and where they believe opportunities exist in the months ahead.

Thank you to WBEC-East and Highmark for putting together another outstanding event. I'm excited to follow up with the amazing people I met today and see where these new relationships lead.
