Harmful development is being proposed around the state in areas that provide critical habitat for our fish, threatening strongholds for salmon, trout, char, and other species. Meanwhile, unethical and unsustainable fishing methods are still practiced in open waters off our coast.

We been having so much fun with ladies’ night, that we have decided to schedule another event! Join us Monday evening 8/17/25 for a quick fly tying lesson, then we’ll float the river and put you on fish with the fly you tied.

We are really happy to announce that we now have non-toxic animal anchors that are completely lead-free!

Available in two sizes:
45lb for 18’-20’ Boats
35lb for 16’-18’ boats

Custom sizes available upon request.

With just a slight increase in the diameter, the are made from 100% steel and weigh the same as the old ones that were filled with lead. They have been holding our boats in all the places we like to stop and we’ve had great reviews from other guides that are using them.

It’s been an evolution to get to this point. We were unhappy with the traditional lead pyramid anchors, that shed lead in the river every time you use them. Years ago, we decided to start manufacturing steel-cased lead anchors, designed to stop your boat better, meaning less damage to the river bottom, and no more shedding lead. The only problem is… sh*t happens, and sometimes people lose anchors. So lead was still finding its way into our river.

We have since outsourced the fabrication to our buddy Riley, an actual welder, who has been keeping us stocked with higher quality anchors. It was Riley who came up with the lead-free design, and we are very grateful. These non-toxic anchors are right in line with our efforts to reduce the impact that we have on the rivers that we enjoy so much.
