Congrats to these two amazing athletes! Cayden fought an aggressive fight this Sunday at the TN State Crit. He said he felt the strongest heโs ever felt on the road bike but a late crash happened just beside him, and the downed riderโs bike shot right in front of Cayden. After Cayden grabbed brake and swerved the lead pack was out of reach for the final sprint - thatโs competitive bike racing. I love his will and determination, keep an eye on him, heโs going places starting with a full scholarship to King College in Bristol this fall. Cayden is brand new to road and crit racing and is on the fast curve, so proud of what heโs doing and who he is. Cayden is off to mountain bike camp this week in VA to keep on top of the mtb skills. He will be back for the final month of crits at MCC!
Rachel is always up for a challenge, so after being away from competitive road racing for 3 years she gets in the TN State Crit and takes home the gold! It takes a village so many many thanks to all of those that help and support us! Too many to mention but especially Caney Fork Cycles CKVL, and Elijah Thomen @ Good Shepherd Health Foods for helping me and the young guns this weekend! AND our local cycling community in the UC for all their support, help, and hard ridinโ - yโall are a great bunch!
