Let's chat on this Sunday morning. What is everyone's thoughts on this recent change: For the 2026 open water season, the DNR has eliminated the later opening for musky fishing in Northern WI. It will now follow the Southern region and open the first Saturday in May.

Quick reminder, this is for Wisconsin inland lakes only. The WI/MI boundary lakes still will follow the usual June 1st date.
