âSo Why Connersville?â
I think thatâs the question weâve been asked most since opening our store downtown.
The answer is actually pretty simple.
Connersville believed in Wildflowers & Whiskey Co. long before there was ever a storefront.
Before we had four walls, before we had a fitting room, before we had shelves to fill, so many of you from Connersville were already shopping with us. You found us at markets, vendor events, pop-ups, and through social media. You shared our posts, placed orders, told your friends about us, and supported this dream when it was still just thatâa dream.
When the opportunity came to open our very first brick-and-mortar location, it didnât feel like we were moving into a new community. It felt like we were finally coming home to one that had already welcomed us over the past 4 years.
This store isnât here because I found a building.
Itâs here because the people of Connersville made me believe it was possible.
You showed up before we ever opened the doors. You encouraged us when we were scared. You celebrated every milestone right alongside us. And when opening day finally arrived, you packed the store with so much love and support that I still get emotional thinking about it.
Small businesses donât survive because of buildings.
Businesses survive because of people like you.
People who choose to shop local. People who encourage others to do the same. People who understand that a thriving downtown doesnât happen by accidentâit happens when a community decides itâs worth investing in.
One of the things that has impressed me most about Connersville is how deeply people care about the future of their downtown. There is a genuine desire here to see small businesses succeed, empty storefronts filled, and Main Street bustling again.
Time and time again, Iâve met people who arenât just talking about growthâtheyâre working for it. Theyâre showing up to events, supporting local businesses, welcoming new entrepreneurs, and believing that downtown Connersville can become something special again.
That kind of pride is contagious.
As a small business owner, you can feel it. You can feel the excitement when a new business opens its doors. You can feel the encouragement from customers who want you to succeed. You can feel the hope people have for what downtown can become.
Connersville isnât just supporting small businesses because theyâre businesses. Theyâre supporting them because they know each new storefront, each new dream, and each new entrepreneur is another step toward building a stronger community.
Thatâs what made this feel like the right place for Wildflowers & Whiskey Co.
Not because of a building.
But because of the people who are fighting to bring their downtown back to life and who welcomed us as a part of that story. â€ïž
And from the very beginning, the people of Connersville have been some of our biggest supporters.
So why Connersville?
Because you chose us first.
And for that, I will always be grateful. â€ïž
