Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely holiday!

This is one of my all time favorite things I have ever made. This cake is based off of a cake my great grandmother would always make for all the birthday’s in the family. So last year I surprised my grandpa with it as his Christmas present. Making it was a journey full of ups and downs but I am so proud of how it turned out, and I look forward to making it again soon for my birthday!

What is something you are thankful for this year?

I am so thankful for the gift I have been given with baking, it is a place where I can go to release stress and a creative outlet in my life that I would never trade for anything else! Through baking I feel connected to my family on a-whole-nother level, through recipes paseed down and spreading the joy and love through desserts!
