I advertise that the Etsy shop my mother Ann and I share is disabled owned. This is because I am disabled due to a high-fatigue, high-pain medical condition similar to Long Covid: I have had it for 16 years. One of the most frustrating things about my condition is that I am not able to churn out new products or designs as quickly as I would like. It takes time to learn a pattern well enough to be able to sell the item I make from that pattern. I tell you this not because I want your sympathy, but to try and explain why I am not getting new things in the shop. I am still working and playing around with ideas! The picture shows my idea for a bookmark, with possibly another motif on the bottom of these two.

I've been thinking about whether I wanted to keep this account. I disagree with the steps Facebook has taken in recent days: the lack of empathy with regards to hate speech, as well as fact checking. It has been noted on other social media that leaving will give haters more room to hate on people without anyone to stand up for those being bullied. Therefore, I will be staying. Hopefully, enough people will stay to prevent this platform from turning into a cesspit.

This is some yarn I finished a few days ago. Spinning has not been my focus over the last year or so, but it's nice to do when I don't have the energy to do other things like knit. I am debating whether to offer it for sale or not. It could easily go on my loom. It's Merino wool in a fi*****ng weight; 173 yards.

I finished this cross during the show last weekend, and finally got it pinned out. Pinning it wet straightens all the little loops and makes it look much better. It is for sale in the shop.

I was unable to update anything on the shop yesterday. That is the problem I have bring disabled; flare-upstairs of pain and fatigue happen and I never know when. I tell you this not because I want your sympathy, but so you can understand why I am not around all the time.
