I have never been filled with this much PRIDE and JOY! Tonight we kicked off our 50-state “Healing Across America” book tour at Prologue Bookshop in the Short North. We celebrated the release of “Grandma Joy and Me” and the start of Columbus Pride 2026 with our moderator Virginia West.

There was so much love in the room. The energy surrounding this book release was palpable and I can only imagine where this journey will take us. Thank you for championing this book and giving us a platform to stand in solidarity with our LGBTQIA community and allies. Thank you for generously catering our author event. Your food brought tears to our eyes. Thank you for sharing the stage with me and truly seeing me. I love you so much. And thank you to every person who took time out of their schedules to be a part of this conversation and purchase a book. We are motivated to hit the road with your support and love as fuel. Happy Pride, everyone! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️📚❤️

We were honored to have a very full shop for our great event tonight with Grandma Joy’s Road Trip — Brad and Joy Ryan! Thank you to Virginia West as moderator and Bleu & Fig for the catering (partially devoured before I got a good picture, sorry!)

"Sometimes, you come across a book with such an interesting concept that you can’t help but buy it! This book does that for me. I’m not much of a gamer these days, but this was the kind of survey I only dreamed of doing in my younger days. I haven’t gotten any less upset that the libraries in these old games are almost exclusively inert, but I have plenty of real books so that’s ok. Great for anyone nostalgic for finding libraries in digital places."
