Thank you for supporting our small business for 20 years. I have had the honor of working closely with many of you for nearly 10 years! The relationships that have been created and the memories made at Stephens Exclusives/Uptown Exclusives and Plug & Play Namaste will last forever!

When I started as a Sales Associate at Stephens Exclusives, I was a bit nervous to say the least. I was never a “Fashionista” or knew much about style.. If you don’t believe me, ask my younger self!

While working at Stephens Exclusives, I learned how to become more of an extravert, how the retail industry worked, visual merchandising (thanks to Darlene for the training and the first “Needs Working On” during my internship evaluation), and learned how to help customers pick out the perfect gift or outfit for that special event. I quickly came to the realization that I LOVED retail. It was not just about selling products, it was about truly helping someone pick out a gift you knew the recipient would love or helping lift someone’s spirit.

Stephens Exclusives became my life and a place I truly cherished. After college, I was presented with an opportunity to become a partner in a business I loved! Darlene and I decided to close the location in LaGrange and move Uptown Exclusives (previously Stephens Exclusives) to Columbus, GA. While we moved the store a little further away, our amazing customers in LaGrange still supported our small business.

Columbus, GA was so welcoming and quickly came to support our small business. The love and support we received from our customers over the past years have been a tremendous blessing. While Uptown Exclusives was able to provide Columbus with a speciality gift store, Columbus provided so much more to our small business! It has been a dream come true.

I would not be who I am today without the love and support of our amazing clients and family! Thank you for letting us live out our dreams.

From a small quick printing shop on Church Street in Lagrange in 2004 to an invitation and gift store in 2005, moving to Main Street in 2007 as a beautiful gift store, then to Broadway in Columbus with Brooke in 2020 as we continued with gifts and apparel, but added the wellness studio in 2021.
20 years of beautiful memories! We can’t thank you enough for all the love and support you have shown us over the years. It meant the absolute world to us to support all the community events and nonprofits. We have loved serving our customers. We will never forget all the birthdays, anniversaries, showers and Christmas’s that you trusted us to provide your special gifts. What an honor it has been and we will treasure these times forever in our hearts.

Please join us this weekend as we say, “see you later,” and close this chapter of our lives.
