We got to pick up our Franklinton Arts auction piece the other day!! Yay! Check it out! 🤩

This piece was painted by Columbus based artist Katie Golonka and we couldn't be more excited to give it a home!

We got it back to the CANVAS HQ safely and now it's time to hang it up! We already have the perfect spot in mind. 🤭

We loved getting the chance to chat with Travis, Executive Director of the Franklinton Arts District, about the community, creativity, and passion that make Franklinton so unique.

Travis has been part of the Franklinton creative scene for around 15 years and is an artist in every sense — a writer, comedian, and musician who genuinely cares about creating opportunities and spaces for creatives to thrive.

You can truly feel how much he cares about the neighborhood and the people in it, and it was such a pleasure getting to hear more about his vision for Franklinton. 🤍

Part 1 from Art for Franklinton: Art Auction 🎨✨

We had so much fun walking around and checking out all of the incredible artwork from so many talented local artists. The creativity in this room was seriously unreal. 🤯

Also… we totally got the silent auction and live auction confused 😂 We thought we were bidding on the artwork in the silent auction, but ended up realizing we needed to bid during the LIVE auction instead.

And somehow… we ended up winning a piece!! 👀🎉

We had the best time at the Art for Franklinton Art Auction last night! 🎨✨

It was incredible seeing so many talented local artists and so many meaningful pieces all in one space. We’re especially excited because we ended up winning a piece during the live auction and we can’t wait to share it once we pick it up next week! 😃

If you’re local to Columbus, be sure to mark your calendars for Urban Scrawl event happening October 9–11, 2026! Artists will be painting live for two full days, and the pieces created during the event will later be featured in next year’s Art for Franklinton auction.

These events are such a beautiful celebration of art, creativity, and community supporting both local artists and the future of the arts in Franklinton. We’re so honored to be a small part of it all. ❤️

Big news, CANVAS Fam! 🤩 We're officially partnering with the Franklinton Arts District, a Columbus nonprofit dedicated to keeping creativity alive and supporting local artists in our community.

Makers supporting makers. It just makes sense. 😋

They're hosting their Annual Fundraiser: Art for Franklinton TOMORROW and we couldn't be more excited to be a part of it. We'll even be bidding on some local art to take home! 🎨
