It’s spring! Everything is coming back to life, and for those of us who maybe have too many houseplants, we’ve been eyeing those babies, knowing it’ll be GOOD FOR THEM to have a chop… but what do we do with all those propagations?

Well, good news! We’re having a plant swap! Yes, across both Craft Raccoon and Dye Mad Yarns, there will be a ✨free✨plant swap on Sunday, May 17th from 12-4pm! The spirit is bring a plant, take a plant!

Quick FAQ!

-do I have to bring a plant?
No, we’re kind of anticipating more plants that takers based on what we know of some of our friends, so there’s no requirement to bring a plant!

-do I have to take a plant?
Also no, but please try to be mindful not to overwhelm us with plants, if you can!

-can I drop off plants ahead of time?
Sure, within reason! We can take plants at Dye Mad Yarns on Friday and Saturday!

We’re hoping it’s a cool, casual and fun time! See you then!

happy May Day! Today is also the full Flower Moon in Scorpio!

This is a moon of beauty, and we’re halfway between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice! Flowers are blooming, and while the weather is chilly here in central Ohio today, we know it won’t always be!

This moon is also known as the Hare moon, so it’s considered a fertility moon as well 👀 it’s a good time to work on bringing forth some beautiful projects! 💫

Hey Jay👋

Very interesting that you’re running to manage our money, when you can’t even manage that big ass forehead of yours!

Ohio voted to protect abortion access, and you’re just trying to stay relevant by demonizing it and stoking the flames of extremism. F**k you and f**k abortion bans.

Anyway, thanks for the reminder that it’s Fund-A-Thon season!!! Ice cream at for tonight!! We’ll be doing a match day next month 🫰🏼

Do you smell that smelly smell that smells… smelly? It’s that time of year where we deal with the consequences of past choices of city planners and suffer the smell of Bradford pears. Also known as the Callery Pear, these trees are weak-wooded, highly invasive, and foul smelling - and the street the shop is on is littered with them!

“If they sound like the worst ex boyfriend, then why are there so many of them??”

Because like an unfortunate younger version of many of us, they can tolerate incredibly poor conditions!

Additionally, their fruit is easily spread by birds, meaning they spread beyond where they’re planted, often crowding out native plant species.

Soil and conservation districts across the country have programs that can provide help replacing your Bradford pear with a native plant!

Our April 2026 colorway is called WHATS THAT SMELL, and is reminiscent of the white/yellow/green blossoms of the fishy smelling menace.
