A recent study grew chrysanthemums under LEDs and found that the cooler temps added an additional 3-4 days of growing time before the flowers could be harvested while maintaining quality.

Our Story

SpecGrade began as a brick and mortar retail store serving homeowners, home builders, and apartment complexes. Before long our customers were asking for LED bulbs and fixtures for the energy savings. We recognized LED as the future of lighting. When the market crashed in 2008 we moved on from the storefront into commercial LED fixtures, developing commercial illumination solutions for sports stadiums, roadways, oil rigs, and more.

5 years ago we took a hard look at what LED could do for growers. We resolved to bring our 30 years of expertise to the project and develop the next best grow light. And we didn’t stop with one - we have created fixtures to meet the needs of growers with indoor, vertical, and greenhouse farms.
