After a length of time you refuse to divulge the day arrives when you can no longer stomach the state of your oven. Then under the influence of an inexplicable impulse you spend hours cleaning that oven. That day arrived yesterday for me. Amazingly after the agony as you slump back down into your recliner swimming in a sea of relief the thought crosses your mind that you will not do that again until the passage of a length of time you still refuse to divulge. Enjoy the fleeting joy of a clean oven!

As the backyard at 50 takes on a tidy look during springs arrival I finally reached the point where these eye sore surface pine roots had to go and a few Palmetto St Augustine grass sods will take their place. A backyard refuge and homemade Boma are life giving essentials when your World becomes a Bubble. The only thing worse is when one's perspective is a Bubble. The determinative question has never been "is He risen," but "are you risen with Him?" Pine roots and Tomb living are eye sores that go deeper than the surface. Time to rise and roll.

Friday night at the Pond House, St Matthews-Fort Motte Parish. Luke and boys came up fromN.Chs. and a friend of his came down from Columbia with his son so there is an unusual amount of noise, movement, and lights around. The treat tonight was Luke's South African "potjiekos" (little pot food) cooked traditionally in a 3 legged cast iron pot. Yum.
