When Columbia Main Street took over managing First Fridays, we had one goal: create a safe, welcoming space where families, friends, neighbors, and visitors could come together and enjoy everything that makes our community special.

First Fridays takes a tremendous amount of planning, volunteer hours, and dedication from the Columbia Main Street team and First Fridays Committee. Seeing the community show up, support local vendors, enjoy live music, and share smiles with one another reminds us why the work is worth it.

We love the feedback, the energy, and most importantly, the opportunity to help create meaningful community experiences.

The next time you’re at First Fridays and see someone wearing a volunteer shirt, please take a moment to say thank you. Chances are they’ve spent countless hours helping make that special night possible for you and your family.

We are excited for our themed GAME ZONE for June's First Fridays! We have over 300 Hawaiian leis for the kids (while supplies last!)

At the all-ages hands-on crafts, paint a seashell AND help us paint a recycling bin with colorful fish for the Art's District.

We are super excited for our Downtown Merchant, Needle and Grain, for receiving a nationwide grant to expand their Refillery Station inside of their store located on South Main Street in Downtown Columbia!

Congrats to Bryson and Susan 👏🏻🙌🏻

Needle & Grain has been awarded a $20,000 grant to expand its zero-waste refillery station to offer a wider range of bulk household products. See link below ⬇️
