Columbia Organ Works was proud to be an event sponsor for the Anna Lapwood concert at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall on Friday night. Over the past 15 years, our firm has restored the wind chests for the Swell and Swell-Choir divisions. Nathan Bryson and his wonderful team have ordered literally thousands of leather based components from us and we are most grateful to have a small part in the restoration of this unequaled musical instrument!

We tuned the Moller organ at Gettysburg Presbyterian Church this morning. I always like seeing the pew in which Abraham Lincoln sat after giving the Gettysburg Address.

Does anyone have photos of 1937 era ORIGINAL Moller draw k**b faces and coupler tilting tablets. We are doing a restoration and want the same shape, size and engraving style that the organ would have had originally. The originals were replaced in the 1990's.
Any help would be much appreciated.

This morning, Columbia Organ Works removed the massive four manual console of M.P. Moller's opus 6570 for restoration. This 76 rank organ was designed by Richard Whitelegg and installed in 1937. There have never been any tonal changes made to the instrument. We restored the Choir division in 2020 and this phase of the work will include the console and the mechanism in the Swell division. The Great, Solo and Pedal are to be done in 2026 and 2027. The organ is located in Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in New York City.

Here is a short video of our little organ in Texas being used for mass this week.

The photo below shows the organ shortly after it was completed by Columbia Organ Works in 1989 for Spangcrest Retirement Home in Lebanon, PA.
Several of the people in the photo are still associated with our firm.
Second from left is James Hoover (he helped move the organ to Texas, William Duck is next to him. Fourth from the right is Kirk Garner (Kirk still works for us and his son, Eric, helped move and install the organ in its new home, then me (Larry Pruett), next to me is founding partner John Speller and on the far right is former employee Paul Marchesano.
