Transitioning can be incredibly expensive, especially without family support. There are many costs ass

ociated with transitioning, such as hormones, surgery, and legal name changes. With all of these costs, it can be hard to find and afford clothes that fit and make someone feel good. Furthermore, shopping for gender affirming clothes can be a scary experience, and transgender people often experience harassment and discrimination in gendered shopping spaces. The Clothing Closet exists to meet the need for affordable, gender confirming clothing and a safe, supportive, welcoming space to shop, particularly for transgender and non-binary folks in Mid-Missouri. We provide clothing for free to anyone who needs it. We have professional and casual clothing, shoes, and accessories for all gender expressions and sizes. And if you need help with transition specific items, like binders, underwear, and forms - we do that too!
