i don’t frequently do a photo dump, but i’m getting back into the rhythm of regular posts! soooo while i’m working on some very nice chocolate-centered things for you, here’s a little recent fun ❤️ a little work, but mostly special happenings and recent travel and time with family.

grateful for SO many things.

❤️ FAMILY — chosen in so many different ways, born into, grown, discovered, repaired, and all the connectors that help us become more ourselves. and for mama debbie who let me just sob all over her when i saw and snuggled her for the first time in far too long.
👩🏽‍💻 WORK — growth over the past few months, and believing in my own vision, thanks to and a cohort of special peers & mentors.
🏡 A VISIT HOME — deep appreciation for where and from whom we come. the ways things change and grow and still stay rooted. and a note of deep joy to francisco at for greeting us exactly as we would have walking by six years ago! ( mayyyybe an honorary mayor position needs to be created for this community hero, just sayin’ 💫)
💖 SELF-AWARENESS — more than before. knowing when to stop/what my body and health needs are/ continuously working toward a better tomorrow. or, in camellia chocolates values speak, THE ROAD AHEAD.

FRIENDS! We’re on a lil spring break and the shop is closed through Tues 4/28, and we’ll be back on Wed 4/29. I’ve been working hard pre-travel and beyond to get us ready for sooooo many fun spring and summer things. And this may shock you — they ALL include chocolate! 🍫💫

OPEN 10-7 with such a huge restock of alllllll the bars, as well as:
— HOT CHOCOLATE SAMPLES at 10:30 during ’ valentine’s storytime here in the shop!
— RASPBERRY HOT CHOCOLATE. house raspberry syrup. You’re gonna love her 💫
— RASPBERRY CHOCOLATE SHORTCAKES. Single or double stack. Each shortcake is packed with chocolate & raspberries, then topped with raspberry compote & chocolate-flecked whip. Each element made in house! (gf!)
— HEART COOKIES FOR TWO (or one or many!) in your choice of Pistachio Mexican Chocolate Chip or Cherry Chai Oatmeal (gf as always)
— VERY CHERRY BERRY BARS ARE BAAAAACK
— OLIVE OIL BROWNIES have returned bc a very special fan has been asking for them 😘 (gf, df)

Hope you’re staying warm and that you have all you need ❤️

The shop is back open today. I’ll have your fave PB chocolate cupcakes in a bit here, and all the hot chocolate to warm you through to your soul and melt all that ice. And bars are back in stock 💫

And if you need a cozy drink and don’t have power/have been affected by the storm, as well as for all our incredible first responders, your first cup’s on me. Just let me know ❤️

PLEASE be careful while you’re out and about, and even getting into . The parking lot, as well as front steps and entrances are easy to get to, but some hand rails and the side entrance are icy.

In the meantime, recipe testing at home while there’s power, and working on finalizing Valentine’s plans. The last photo is the new Chocolate Chip Cookie Hot Chocolate — she’s as delicious as she is cute.

I had some VERY special little visitors to the shop yesterday! My nieces & nephew (and brother 🥰) had the best time making their own bars and getting an extra special behind-the-scenes tour. 💖

THIS WEEK’S SWEET SCOOP! The whole weekend will be based on this winter storm outcome — which is likely meaning closed, but not to worry bc I’ll have you ready to be stocked up! I’m prepping some really fun things for our possible snow days at home, including this month’s featured treats and some SNOW DAY HOT CHOCOLATE KITS. With our chocolate-flecked HOUSE WHIP that you love so much! (Up to you if it makes it onto your cups 😝)

Hi hi hi! We’ll be back in the shop tomorrow to keep your January so cozy 🫶🏽💫 And pretty pleaaaaaaaaase come to the shop tomorrow at 3:30 for ’s teen & adult FREE crafternoon! We’ll be making Valentine’s wreaths and there will be samples of hot chocolate bc I love ya 😘

And a note of thanks to all of you — the past couple of weekends have been SO lovely and sweet! All the new folks who’ve stopped by and been so kind, supportive, and encouraging — and seeing our forever friends makes my heart swell, too. Truly — thank you ❤️

I’ve spent a lot of time the past few weeks thinking how to make the shop the best place for you to hang, shop, create, and gather — and keep it all sustainable for your one-woman chocolate lady show 🙋🏻‍♀️ (no oompa-loompa labor here 😬). Hoping your holiday season has been so, so special! And if you have also had a tough time with the large and small things as of late, may I offer an extra soft hi-hello-welcome-you’re safe here greeting to you 💗

While the purpose & vision of Camellia Chocolates is Craft Chocolate for All, the fact remains that it is an energeti extension of me. While some folks’ energy comes in many cute lil buckets, mine is all mixed together in one big bucket — and it’s impossible to fight against this. Working through burnout has been quiet and sad and not shiny or fun to share. It’s so good to (for now) feel on the other side of it, with creative energy and a passion for what I do filling my soul again. And I may occasionally share my thoughts as I work to maintain creative practices (we’ve got to light up at least occasionally like little Christine in the first image ❤️).
