Fr. Mike Butler passed away peacefully on Friday, March 23rd at the age of 72. Fr. Mike had served as a sacramental minister for the Diocese of Colorado Springs since 1989. More recently he had served St. Patrick’s Parish, saying Masses and assisting with Sacraments.

He became a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Monastery in 1976 and remained there until 1989. He was ordained a priest at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome by Pope John Paul II on May 31, 1984.

Fr. Mike was active in the Knights of Columbus for nearly 30 years.

He was known for his love of the priesthood and his Irish humor. Fr. Mike enjoyed scuba diving and riding his motorcycle.
