So true! The bonding time is critical. Did you know that many kids lose their interest in reading around 8 years old, which is typically the age when they can read to themselves? By finding books that may be just above their level and reading to them, you encourage their love of reading as they get older because they associate reading with connection. Keep on reading!

Every year on Hans Christian Andersen's birthday (2 April) International Children's Book Day is celebrated to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children's books.
It's a great reminder to encourage your child to develop the super power of reading for a lifetime of joy and adventure.

Colorado Springs friends and customers, I am at a vendor event at Chapel Hills Mall today. We are on the ground floor directly across from Dick's Sporting Goods in the old JC Penney. It's a gray icky day and we are right by the kids play place so come on by!
