The next pop-up bookshop!
Saturday, June 13
10am to 2pm

Our friends at Dynamo are celebrating their 5-year business anniversary and we're bringing the book fair vibes to the party. 😎🎈 Dynamo was the very first business to host our shop! We admire their commitment to building community and providing a warm, welcoming place for all. They're wonderful humans, and their coffee (that they roast in-house!) is always delicious. Come hang out with us; get caffeinated and find your next favorite book!

Quick update, friends! I'll be at Cottonwood Creek Park again on Sunday the 15th for another casual little audiobook walk. A few folks who couldn't make it last week would like to walk, so I'll be there! Same time, same place - walk starts at 3:30pm. Two leisurely laps around the soccer fields takes around 30 minutes, then you're welcome to hang out and socialize if you'd like.

Apologies for the late notice - this week has been a busy one with business taxes due! No FB event since I'm still working out how to structure recurring walks. More to come, but pop this in your calendar if you want to come get some sunshine and fresh air with me.

Check out the freaking amazing audiobook sale going on right now... members get an additional 30% off of sale prices! Membership is $14.99/month for 1 audiobook credit and bonus savings on all your other purchases. 🩡

Our first audiobook walk! We're doing it, and we hope you'll join us. Sunday, March 8th, we'll meet up at the larger parking lot (the "upper lot") near the soccer fields at Cottonwood Creek Park. Bring your earbuds/headphones, and queue up an audiobook to listen to. We'll walk for 30 minutes - wherever you want, but the paved path around the field is a great option - then meet up afterwards for some low pressure social time.

Feel free to bring camp chairs, blankets to sit on, snacks (to share or not to share πŸ˜‰), or whatever else makes you comfortable for after our walk. If you'd rather not walk, we'd still love for you to come! Feel free to bring a physical book if you prefer, there's room for everyone.

In our bio link, you'll find our audiobook store through . Our playlists have just been refreshed! We have recommendations for banned and challenged books, emotional support reads, and books for resistance - history, science, activism, defending democracy, and more. 🩡 Don't forget, you can also use the Libby app to borrow audiobooks from the library for free!

This is something a little different for us... it's not a pop-up shop, but it is a chance for us to connect, build community, gently move our bodies, get some sunshine, and unplug from social media.

If there's interest, we'd love to turn this into a monthly or even weekly gathering. We need community more than ever, and we're excited to spend some quality time with you.

Half of all of our profits from Bookshop(dot)org this month will go to mutual aid funds in Minneapolis. We may extend this to March, too. There may come a day where we need to shift those funds to our Colorado communities, but right now, the needs are far more urgent in MN. While recent press releases indicate the surge there is coming to a close, their communities still need a lot of support in the long road to healing.

For transparency, we make a 30% commission on every Bookshop purchase, so that means 15% of each purchase will go to mutual aid funds.

Before you buy a book from us, though, I encourage you to consider if you're confident you'll keep the book. Is it "retail therapy" or is it a book someone will treasure for years? I know this sounds wacky as a small business owner, but... If you're not sure about the book, go borrow it from your local library. Connect with your community while you're thereβ€”invite a friend or two and grab a local coffee on the way. Then send that money you would have spent on the book to a mutual aid fund.

Thank you for being the helpers, the good neighbors, and a treasured part of our bookish community.

These books are a small handful of the orders our store received on in January. Our customers are the coolest. πŸ₯Ή

Thank you so much for supporting us through Bookshop - as always, you can find our shoppable lists of banned and challenged books at the link in our bio. Take a look at our Resist List, too... lots of these January books (and books similar to them) are included there.

Which ones have you read? Which ones are you adding to your TBR?

Friends, remember that we are not helpless. Our strength lies in the way we refuse to stop showing up for one another. If you're not sure where to start, this book may spark some inspiration. Keep an eye on this space, I hope to start organizing weekly audiobook walks soon so we can keep building genuine connections while moving our bodies, getting some sunshine, and tackling our TBRs. More to come. Love you, mean it. 🩡

Thank you for reminding us of all the wisdom at our disposal, .

I haven't shared this on FB yet, because there have been other pressing matters at hand... [gestures broadly to the state of the nation].

But before 2026 gets away from me entirely, I want to celebrate that our little bookstore was able to donate $750 to PEN America last year. PEN fights legal battles against book bans and other forms of censorship and we appreciate their advocacy.

We also appreciate all of you. Special shout out to Bookshop because we would not have been able to contribute in this way without their platform. 🩡
