TW: medical, surgery mention

The first of two carpal tunnel release surgeries is now complete! My surgeon said everything went great! I will get the stitches out in 2 weeks when I have my right hand done.

You just don't realize how much of your everyday tasks require both hands.....until you're down a hand 😅😅😅

Kids, take care of your wrists/hands or you'll end up like me lolol

I don't know if anyone recalls this, but last February, I recieved a call from Be The Match saying I was a potential match for someone fighting Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. And while I was confirmed to be a definite match, things fell through on the patient's side and I was unable to donate.

Yesterday I recieved another call from Be The Match saying I was a match for a different patient, fighting a blood disease. The process has now begun to confirm the match, and to prep the patient for the transplant.

To be called once is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The odds to be called twice in less than a year, for two different people, are astronomical.

Every three minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer or disease.

A White patient who needs a transplant has up to a 79% chance of finding a donor.

A Native American has a 60% chance of finding a donor.

Latino/Hispanic: 48%

Asian and Pacific Islander: 47%

Black: 29%

As a self imposed rule, I try to not have my personal life bleed over onto my business pages. Idk why I do so, but that's just me.

Today I'm making an exception.

Last Tuesday on the way to my regular job, literally a quarter a mile from my house, I got blinded by the sun and ended up rear ending a parked car. No airbags went off and nobody got hurt. The other car was thankfully unoccupied and ended up with very minimal damage.

My car on the other end.....errr, not so much.

My car needs some body work, a new headlight, and the radiator will require a repair, if not a replacement. While I have really fantastic insurance which does include rental reimbursement, I am still on the hook for a $500.00 deductible, plus the bill for my citation (I ain't going to fight it, I was definitely at fault).

Combine that with having to buy a plane ticket for a trip planned in May.....you can see where this is going I'm sure.

Even worse, I missed out on purchasing a vendor space for the Colorado Springs Comic Con, and I'm missing another con due to said May trip.

Yeahhhh.....it's a bit rough.

Im going to be setting up an Etsy sale by the end of this week. I am also uploading some new pieces, including some gorgeous gryphons, an adorable dragonfruit dragon, and Shenron.

Commissions are open as well!
Since I don't have to prepare for conventions any time soon, I can devote time to those pieces in between my shift at my regular job.

October has been a nightmare of a month and sadly, I don't mean the Halloween kind. I had to get my laptop repaired because the operating system decided to go on the absolute fritz. That was nearly $300.00, but my dad was generous enough to pay for this bill, so that was a bit of a miracle.
Then on October 16th, our family's beloved cat Zeeba passed away in my arms at the age of 14.
Right after that, on the 26th, I got Covid and missed work since. I also lost out on a vendor gig that following Saturday because of it. All together I have lost over $800.00, probably closer to $900.00 thanks to getting sick. It doesn't sound like much to some people, but that is a lot for me.
I did make a few small dragons that were meant for last Saturday's event, so I have them up for sale and maybe I can start to recoup my losses.
The zombie one is my favorite of the bunch, because I used glow in the dark Cosclay for the bones! I also used a paint from Citadel Colours called "Blood for the Blood God" to achieve the blood effects! It looks so real in person I love it!
The dragon with the pumpkin and the candy corn dragon are $25.00, while the Skelly Wyvern and the Zombie Dragon are $45.00.
Domestic shipping is $10.00.
International shipping will be calculated at checkout.
