Goat Bio: Juniper

Juniper joined the team almost three years ago as a bottle fed doeling from a local Nigerian Dwarf breeder. Juniper is a survivor of the Mountain View fire that devastated the Walker/Coleville community in the fall of 2020. Juniper had her first kids at the beginning of March and currently Fallen Timber's number one producer.

Our farm is located at the base of the Eastern Sierra. We are here because we love the mountains, the west, and most of all the community that became family. We aim to theme our business to the local area, starting with our natural fragrance (nothing added). Let us know what scents you would like to smell in our cold processed soap, handmade right here in rural Nevada, at the base of the Eastern Sierra. See pictures from our community for inspiration.

The first batch of Fallen Timber Farms cold processed soap. Raw goat milk, and a variety of other, 100 percent, all natural ingredients used to create these products. We have lavender, eucalyptus, and cedar bars, all with organic oats that will be ready for purchase in a few weeks.

Our girls did it. After a small delay from a natural disaster, the FTF matriarchs delivered three healthy kids this year.

Made a trip to Carson City to pick up some historical reclaimed lumber from the Stewart Native School opened in 1890. Not the greatest moment in American history but to see and feel a part of it and turn it into something good has been an awesome experience. Lumber from before the 1920's was better quality and lasted much longer than what you typically see today. You can tell by checking to see how tight the grains are on either end of the board. The tighter the grains, the stronger the wood. Getting these cleaned up and ready to be turned into planters for a good friend of mine. Cant wait to post the finished product.

Fallen Timber Co has officially relocated to the United States. We love our Okinawan family and customers and would love to provide our products overseas. Last Christmas was fun, successful, and brought my family closer together. Mistakes were made and learned from and we appreciate you accompanying us along the way as we continue to pursue excellence in our craft.

In the past FTC has had requests for these Crosscut Centerpieces. The truth is, wood with the right bark is difficult to find and on top of they they are a little difficult to cut. We were able to source some great Okinawa Pine for this and really want to offer it to our customers. These cross cut slices of Okinawa Pine work great as a base for our set of Okinawa Pine Holders.

Thanks everyone that came out last Saturday to the Team Extreme Softball Tournament on Kadena. We had a good time and it’s always good to be around other vendors with great advice especially when your such a young company.
