Our comic book store, My first real business, AJ's Comics has officially closed in Colchester CT. the fourth comic book store in town since I was born in 1986, it was always a dream to open one, because it was a passion of my father's I was able to share with him.
I pestered my father for 6 years before he felt I was ready to open AJs. (Alycia and Joseph) JAs didnt have quite the ring to it.
We close but we will always love the contribution we gave to town and hope others feel the same.
These last few years have been hard for everyone but we as a community will never forget that family and love come first and will be remembered far after.
I might have created the spark, but AJs was never just mine and I was never close to alone creating a safe space for people to geek out in my home town. I love everyone that has been involved and we will always remember those we lost along the way.
