Here is what I do and don't do:
I make weighted blankets that are a tool to help with anxiety, stress, restless leg, comfort when needed and many other reasons to own a weighted blankets.
My blankets are 40 inches wide by 48 to 72 inches long.
I DO NOT make blankets to fit beds. These are a TOOL and should not be used as a bedspread. A well fitted blanket should go from neck to toes.
I DO NOT make blankets for infants. A child needs to be at least 3 and able to get out from under a blanket on their own.
My blankets are made with cotton fabric. Cotton will breath making it not too hot in summer and yet warm in winter.
I DO NOT make blankets with minky, fur, flannel, silk or any other fabric type other than cotton. These fabrics have a tendency to stretch which may allow for the pellets to come out of the blanket.
My blankets are not cheap, however, I have NOT raised my prices in 4 years even though supply prices have gone up (I am looking at an increase soon). I DO NOT make much if anything off of these blankets and have always done this because there was a need for affordable blankets.
My blankets ARE completely machine washable and dryable unlike many of the cheaper commercial blankets.
My prices range from $45 (smallest blanket) to over $100 (depends on size and weight)
I'm sure I have left something out of this post, but I can address that later.
