My recent work:

Black Walnut landing net with a copper inlay around the hoop and a copper tube insert in the handle. Black rubber basket to protect the fishies.

A matching black walnut handled hunting knife powder coated black. Small diameter copper pipe as the pins in the handle.

Been gone for a minute. Life comes at you fast. I shut down the website a while back because the cost of materials kept going up and the shipping times kept getting longer and I lost the joy for it.

Anyway, I've been leather working and getting better at woodworking and I'm throwing around the idea of bespoke gear - nets, canvas and leather bags, rod cases, fly boxes - stuff like that....we'll see how that plays out and if I'll rebrand to some other name.

Anyway, I'm still building my shop out after we moved in December. This was the first thing to come out of it a couple months back. An oak fly box with black walnut inlays. I added the brass rod at the last minute because this box was just me testing several concepts at once. Honestly, it's in the scrap bin right now, but I'm zeroing in on a style that I like and I can't wait to show it to you all.

First fly box. First laser engraved fly box. First box ever! I decided to give it a shot. I made a lot of mistakes on this thing (I hid the bigger ones) but I kept going and I'm pretty happy with the results. I'm already planning a streamer box to go with it.

I used scrap wood I had from other projects so I could get all the kinks out of the process without messing up expensive hardwood. It's a pine top with layered black walnut and maybe oak, not sure.

I'm still working on dialing in that laser.

2020 was a sh*tty year for almost all of us, but it was especially hard for this woman. My best friend, my bodyguard, my fishing buddy...my wife. We got the breast cancer diagnosis in July, and she's been fighting like hell ever since.

This week she had her final chemo treatment, rang her bell and said goodbye to cancer forever.

We put our world on hold to focus 100% on beating this, and she did it with style and grace. Now we are putting the pieces back together and getting back to normal...Including growing TLF.

Soon I'll be posting up new materials including custom clothing and one-of-a-kind handmade items and flooding your TL's with posts as we get back into the tying and fishing we love. I hope you guys join us in our journey.

A couple of leeches tied up on our Jig Hooks by the these things have killed it in for the last few years and dont show any signs of slowing. In the meantime, he's slapping and horsing them in without having to worry about his hook failing
