My question is, Why is this so ho hum with everyone. Why is this not major news!
To me, it's God's gentle gradual early warning system that something terrible is going to happen, not good. You would think that true American Christians would like to be good stewards of earth's finite resources.
God is giving us time to repent and get our lives in order. We don't realize that our spiritual condition have affects the environment! 1)When sin entered the world; 2) When sin increased in the world and the thoughts of men were only evil continually in Noah's day. And the Flood came. What?
Luke 17:26 KJV
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
Isaiah wrote it well in the scientific journal, NATURE, of his day.
Isaiah 24:4-6 KJV
The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. [5] The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. [6] Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
Why do I think this article is true? Because if the ocean waters stop moving, they will be stagnant, and thus create the perfect condition for plague #2 of the biblical Seven Last Plagues to fall upon the world.
Revelation 16:3 KJV
And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
This occurs after probation has closed, when God through His Spirit can do nothing more to turn us from sin to righteousness.
The time is now for us to do our individual part. 1) Stop eating meat and get back to the original healt-giving diet that God gave us. That's the best thing anyone can do to help with global warming and thus, to keep the ocean waters moving. Besides, there will be no meat eating in heaven. And 2) Repent of two sins that are systemic in the Christian world--Trinity worship and Sunday keeping--the day devoted to Trinity worship. The Trinity is a false concept of God instituted in 325 AD and forced on the world. (See John 17:3, Acts 3:13, and 1 Cor.8:6 for true God). Sunday keeping is a violation of the fourth commandment. It is, in Isaiah's words, "Breaking the everlasting covenant."

Sunday keeping will soon be enforced nationally by the Christian Right, when church/state get together.
Why? To get this nation back to God, not realizing that they will be enforcing the Mark of the Beast. And it will be upon these that the first plague falls:

And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. [2] And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
