As many of you already know. I lost my dad last week. Please be patient with us as we navigate the next few weeks. We still plan on being The Family Farm on Forty-Two on April 18th. We are very very grateful to all who have reached out to us on social media, cards, texts and prayers. He will be missed. His grumpy attitude and bad dad jokes are with all who knew him!!

I was going to reintroduce myself and my husband to you all today. Im instead going to share some hard not so fun happenings last nighg here on our farm. We have a seasoned doe go into labor sometime yesterday while we weren't home. We came home to her in clear distress and exhausted. We knew if we didnt act fast we were going to loose her. So my husband gloved up and pulled 2 dead babies, unfortunately. I knew they were going to be dead. I just didnt want to loose my girl too. You could tell the instant relief when they got the first one out. Which was breach by the way. Second came much easier. We have had goats for 13 years now. This was a first for us. I knew this day would come. It always does! My husband was a champ!!! She was in a bit of shock. She was hapoy to have this special drink they all get after having babies. She happily took her vitamins too. She also got a shot of vitamin B and liquid minerals and a shot in penicillin. She is resting!!
I tell you this to be transparent about real life with livestock!!

I am posting thi beautiful sunset behind our house from the barn last night. Just as a reminder of how awesome our God is His artistry never ceases to amaze me even in the sad places of life. His is with us ALWAYS. Have a good Sat!!!!

I now have liquid soap ready to go to it's new home!!

1st picture is the paste and liquid diluted and ready for packaging.

2nd picture packaged!!!

Onto the next scent which will be Rosaemary Mint. My personal favorite!

This paste is made with
Coconut oil
Olive oil
Jojoba oil
Apricot oil
Sunflower oil
Rice bran oil
Mango butter

Goats milk

Potassium hydroxide
Sodium hydroxide

Sugar for added bubbles

We had such a fun Fri with our girl Georgie. I was able to pull out some doll clothes that were my mom's. We dressed her dolls in some.fun dresses. She found the bunny stroller, a new to her apron. She is so much fun!!

We welcomed a set of twins this morning in this crazy weather. Our sweet beautiful Matlida is a first time mommy! She did winderful but this weather prompted us to bring them in to warm up. It's amazing what a couple hours wrapped in a towel in a tote does. They were lifeless . That's the not so fun part of goats. They warmed, got some colostrum and were reunited with mommy. So sweet!! We will still be keeping a close eye on them for the next week!
