2023 will be a tough one to top!! I took a step back from guiding to spend more time in the woods with friends and family. It was amazing!! I was able to fill both California deer tags, one buck in D6 one in A zone. Went camping and fishing with the family and the girls were able to catch some trout. Avery got to see her first pigs caught at work! I went to Alaska for the first time with my dad and some great friends and hunted Sitka blacktails on Kodiak while getting some first hand experience with brown bears!! I got to chase tule elk with my dad. I was also able to tag along on not one but 2 of hunts this year while he took his antelope and monster Nevada bull!!

Dad and I found this old buck while packing mine off the hill. Unsure if we could get them both out before our pick up we elected to pass with hopes of turning him up again. A couple days later found us on the same ridge. With lots of luck we turned him up bed in the same area, my dad made a great shot to drop him in his tracks.
