June 6, 1944. D-Day.

Almost 160,000 allied troops stormed the Normandy beaches, code named Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword, while more than 23,000 airborne troops jumped into Normandy.
It’s estimated that over 4,000 allied lives were lost on that day alone, including about 2,500 Americans.

We can’t forget the sacrifices of these soldiers.
