What is the Community Thanksgiving Dinner you may ask! You are maybe new to our community and would like to know how to be involved or in need of the Thanksgiving Meal or know someone who could use the Free meal.
There is NO Income requirements, the only requirement for the delivered meal is you must live in Henry County. That's it!
First-FREE Delivered Thanksgiving Dinners to anyone living in Henry County. Dinner consists of Turkey, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Green Beans, Roll and Pie. Meals will be delivered anywhere in Henry County by volunteers on Thanksgiving Day.
Second-FREE Dine-In Option dinner is provided by the Turkey Talkers and is hosted by The Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #3667 at 723 N. Third St, Clinton, MO. Dinner is (Thanksgiving Day Noon-2:00 p.m.). Guests are welcome to come enjoy the same meal and enjoy dining with others sharing the holiday.
How is this made possible? The generosity of people all across Henry County donate baked Turkey's or Baked Apple or Pumpkin Pies, for the lunch. Volunteers prepare all the sides and deliver the meals across Henry County. In 2025 approximately 1104 meals were delivered or handed out.
How can you get involved? Contact Scott Brooks (Clinton Flower Shop) at 660-885-6922, which is Turkey Central again this year. Volunteer to purchase and bake a turkey, bake pies, maybe you want to help volunteer to be part of the crew serving up the meals, delivering the meals, helping wash dishes and cleaning up. We have a place for everyone.
Do you want a meal delivered? Starting on November 2nd call 660-885-6922 give us your name, address, telephone number and the number of meals, we will take care of the rest.
The Henry County Turkey Talkers have been blessed every year with enough food to provide the required meals, the Lord has never let us down and we know there will be plenty this year.
