It's Wednesday, did you guess this week's Thing correctly? Statistically speaking, yes 😂 This week's thing is a spark plug gap gauge! A gap gauge was more common a few years back than it is now, but it's designed to help you make sure you have the proper distance between a spark plug's electrodes to get the best possible spark. In this instance, *what* the thing is might not be the biggest mystery but rather *why* a HVAC, plumbing, and appliance company would need one. The answer? We don't completely know, but it might have been used during the era of Lennox Pulse furnaces that used a spark plug. Even though we don't sell Lennox products, we've been repairing systems of all sorts for over a century! Too many of you got it right to list everyone, but Supreme Bragging Rights go to Rebecca Flaherty and Kayla Hooten who commented the correct answer almost instantly! Fantastic job! But, our most favorite answer of all has to go to Jonathan Compton who says "Definitely not a ninja throwing star. (My dad was *very* clear about that about 50 years ago.)" 😂 You, sir, not only win the game, you win the internet. Thank you to everyone who played along! Don't forget to follow us so you won't miss your chance to get it right first on the next What is This Thing!
