I'll cut right to the chase: cancer sucks. It took my stepmom and my brother. Now, it's in this little guy's brain! His grandpa, John, has been a great client of mine for a long time now, but even if he was my worst enemy, I wouldn't wish this on him.

If you're the praying type, feel free to do so. The Wards would surely appreciate it.

That being said, prayers are great, but doctors and insurance companies won't take them as payment, so donations are much more helpful in this case!

Heating a Martin neck to get it to hold just a smidge more relief (no truss rod). It's not my go-to move, but I have to say: it worked this time!

Taking a break from the bottomless fretwork buffet to install this Audere Classic 4-Band Preamp. These Proline series Warwick 6 strings have active MEC pickups, and as long as you don't get a Z series preamp, these Audere preamps handle actives nicely!

Forgot to post the conclusion to the Silvertone frets from the other day. Been trying those Z files for jobs where I have frets that got their crowns obliterated during the leveling process, and I have to say, I really like them! Silvertone turned out really well. Probably spent more time than it really deserved, but the client has been a regular for long enough that I don't mind putting in a little extra!
