I’m Georgena — the handmade resin creator behind Poxy Rose. A Latina, LGBTQ Texas artist crafting sparkly, bold resin pieces for weirdos + soft hearts. 🌹✨

My work is rooted in identity, color, and joy — from glitter-streaked earrings to emotional keepsakes and custom pieces with real heart. Every item is hand-poured in our woman-owned studio, powered by my wife’s creative spark and our two pups,

Arkham & Harley. 🐾

Poxy Rose is all about embracing what makes you beautifully different. Handmade with intention. Stay royal, bloom loud. 💎🕯️

This week’s reminder:

Handmade work carries more than surface.

It carries process.
Care.
Material behavior.
Small decisions.
Clear communication.
A little bit of the maker’s presence.
And sometimes, a story that does not fit inside a product photo.

Whether you are here for small-batch resin art, custom work, the Sparkle Journal, or handmade business reflections — there is a path for you inside Poxy Rose.

Read, shop, or start with the path that fits where you are today.

Not every handmade piece has to be a big statement to become part of your day.

Sometimes it is the tray on your table.
The phone grip you reach for constantly.
The little resin detail that makes a space feel more like yours.

These everyday resin pieces are made for the small routines, the useful corners, and the little bits of personality that make daily life feel softer. Shop everyday resin pieces here: https://www.poxyrose.com/small-batch-resin-art-shop-texas/

🌿 Maker Garden Spotlight — Memorial Day Edition

Some pieces are made to be used.
Some are made to be kept.
Some are made to carry someone forward.

Coming out of Memorial Day weekend, I’m opening the next Maker Garden Spotlight for pieces made with memory in mind.

This can be a handmade memorial keepsake, a piece created to honor someone, something made from a meaningful material, or work that carries family, cultural, personal, or emotional significance.

It does not have to be sad.
It does not have to be perfect.
It just needs to hold meaning.

If you make pieces like this — or have made one before — I would love to see it.

Drop below or message me:

🔗 Your shop, page, or listing if you want to share it

This is not about pushing sales. It is about showing what handmade work can hold when it is made with intention.

Submissions will stay open through Wednesday, June 3 for the June Maker Garden Spotlight feature.

Clear custom expectations help protect the whole process.

They help me understand what you are hoping for.
They help you understand what resin can and cannot do.
They help the piece have room to become something strong without guessing through every detail.

Custom work does not need to start with every answer figured out.

But it does need a clear beginning. Start a custom resin art request here:

Some of the strongest handmade work happens before the finish.

Before the final photo.
Before the piece is upright.
Before everything looks complete.

There is prep that disappears into the finished work: sealing, sanding, placement, drying time, structure, and all the little decisions that help the piece hold together.

That was especially true for this memorial stone heart art.

The final piece matters, but the hidden prep is part of why it could become what it became.

Bunny pieces do not have to be only for Easter.

They can be soft shelf decor.
A vanity catchall.
A little trinket spot.
A gentle corner detail.
A piece that adds sweetness without taking over the whole room.

This group has that soft bunny resin energy with a mix of tray, decor, and collectible feeling.

Which one would you choose first?

Poxy Rose is a small resin art studio in Texas, built around handmade pieces, custom resin art, soft gothic style, and a lot of care behind the scenes.

Some people find the shop through products.
Some find it through custom work.
Some find it through the Sparkle Journal.
Some find it because they were looking for a local resin artist and landed here.

However you got here, I am glad you did.

Say hi if you are local to Texas. Wanna Visit Texas. Been to Texas lol you get it -

Is handmade variation a flaw?

Not automatically.

Sometimes variation is part of the material. Part of the process. Part of the way a piece settles, cures, layers, shifts, or forms by hand.

The difference is clarity.

When a maker understands the process and communicates what is natural to the work, variation becomes easier for buyers to understand too.

Handmade does not mean careless.

It means the work was made with human decisions, material behavior, and care.

Makers, where does perfection pressure show up for you?

For me, it can show up in the tiny moments where the work is already becoming something honest, but my brain starts asking if it looks “finished enough” or “polished enough” or “easy enough to explain.”

That pressure can turn creating into correcting real fast.

If you make, sell, design, pour, paint, write, stitch, bake, build, or create anything by hand — where does that pressure hit you the most?

Custom work does not start at the finished photo.

It starts with the pause before the materials are touched.
The questions.
The prep.
The surface.
The placement.
The care needed for where the piece will live after it leaves the studio.

This memorial stone heart art needed more than a pretty finish. It needed structure, sealing, patience, and decisions that respected what the piece was meant to hold.

That is the part of custom work people do not always see.
