🖤 Introducing our newest yarn base! 🖤

This wonderfully woolly, non-superwash yarn features strands of black wool twisted throughout each skein, creating a really beautiful, naturally textured effect.

I've seen yarn like this before and always thought it was so interesting! But I wasn't quite sure about how busy it could get with all that contrast.

So naturally, I had to experiment!

I played around with a few skeins, trying out different colorways, and the variegated ones just weren't doing it for me.

The tonals, however? Oh, the tonals. 😍

I absolutely LOVE how they turned out!

So I designed an entire palette with fall knitting in mind. A rainbow of rich, earthy, autumn-inspired shades that really let those little twists of black wool shine. The colors have so much depth and character without feeling too busy. The twists of black give everything such a dark, moody edge!

And did I mention it's WORSTED WEIGHT?!

Perfect for cozy fall sweaters, beautiful cables, textured stitches, and colorwork projects. It's everything I love about woolly, non-superwash yarn, with a little something extra!

A year ago, I designed this collection as a celebration of Dolly Parton. Inspired by rhinestones and denim, her lyrics, and her joy.

Today, I'm sharing it again with a much heavier heart. I’m not usually affected by celebrity deaths, but this one floored me.

She was an extraordinary artist, storyteller, and philanthropist. But what always inspired me most about her was the way she led with kindness. She showed us that you could stand firmly for what you believed in without losing compassion for the people around you. That kindness and strength were never mutually exclusive.

The world is a little less sparkly without her in it. 💔

Sad news today — our studio dog Dottie has crossed the rainbow bridge.

So many of you had the chance to meet her over the years as our faithful studio companion. She was the best friend a girl could ask for and was there through every step of building Destination Yarn. From her bed under my basement dye table to her spot in the storefront window, she was a constant presence through it all.

I don't have the words to express how much I will miss her. She was my shadow for 16 years, and a part of every chapter of this business and my life.

She was deeply loved, and I know many of you will miss her too.

Goodbye, sweet Dottie.
