For this weekโs reading I pulled the Page of Cups reversed. The Page of Cups is first and foremost a messenger; delivering news, spreading gossip, or calling to action. Out of all four of the pages, this one is particularly connected to our intuition and our emotions โ this card may show up when we are thinking with our hearts instead of our heads. Although this card was pulled reversed, I donโt always read reversals โ so if the Page of Cups is bringing a message, I donโt necessarily read the card as bringing good news if it is upright and bad news if it is reversed. The tarot is usually not so cut and dry. ๐โจ
AThe Page of Cups connects us to our inner child. Though it is difficult to pull meaning from the direction a figure is facing in a single-card pull, I see the Page of Cups as a connection to our past selves and how the feelings and experiences we had when we were younger may affect us now. Something from your past is coming up this week, either a long-suppressed memory or a person you may have lost touch with. Pay attention to what emotions come up this week. Because itโs showing up reversed, this card indicates that reconnecting to this person could draw attention to inner wounds that have not been resolved. It could also reveal a level of emotional immaturity or co-dependency, either on your part or theirs โ or possibly both. The Page of Cups asks us to pay attention to what our instinct is trying to tell us โ if there was ever a time to listen to your gut feeling, this is it. ๐โจ
Regardless of whether this message is a happy or sad one, you will most likely be feeling conflicted this week. These feelings will definitely leave you feeling drained, but working through them is far better than blocking them right now. If you are really struggling, you may want to reach out for professional help. ๐โจ
