August is always a little bittersweet… emphasis on the bitter in my case… dramatic as that may sound. Every Tuesday (and sometimes Fridays) while my mom is on summer break from her position at school, she and I pick a town or two within 50 miles (sometimes more) to go thrifting and antiquing together. We fill up my little SUV with vintage treasures, crafting supplies, and lots of laughter. I so love our adventures together and wouldn’t trade them for anything (except for maybe – selfishly – a slightly longer summer break from school). ✏️

I added lots of fun and funky new-to-you treasures! One of my favorites from this drop is a 1980s screen printed Finnish art piece detailing types of weather. The blank “Fog” square is frying me… 😅

Hi friends! Here are the special pieces that were most recently featured at Modern Vintage.

My favorite piece is definitely the table you see in the first few photos. The top is a 1940s Ford truck tailgate that has the sweetest cutouts of daisies and bumblebees. Shout-out to my dad for attaching the tailgate to this set of chunky antique table legs. This table is truly one-of-a-kind and would be perfect for a “she-shed” or even a rustic entry table! 🌼🐝
