Dear Keep Backers -

Although The Keep has at times appeared to be in hibernation, we have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to finalize our patents and trademarks, a process we began in early 2012 - months before launching the first Kickstarter. Since the campaign ended unsuccessfully in late 2012, our goal has been to leverage the patents to secure financing and bring The Keep to life. We have made a lot of progress on this front, and with our patents currently in review at USPTO, our patent attorneys tell us that we should expect final approval this summer.

Many of you have reached out to us regarding another project currently running on Kickstarter. This other project is extremely similar in both name and function, and as such, it has been widely assumed that we are behind it. To be clear, there is no affiliation whatsoever. We have reached out to this team to discuss our concerns about their extremely similar branding and trade dress, but as of this afternoon we have heard nothing in return. Grumpy Owl Gamery is discussing the way ahead with our legal team, and though we certainly hope to resolve this quickly and amicably, we are legally obligated to protect our trademarks and patents.

We are in the process of making the insides of the Great Chamber completely customizable. Why? Well, there are a number of reasons. Flexibility to choose what you want and like inside and the ability to easily add or replace the insides as you see fit. Apologies for the poor picture taking - I'm not the preferred camera guy for the Gamery :).
