Check out the spalting on this piece of hackberry I got at Atlanta Wood Foundation. I also grabbed some nice pieces of walnut and poplar.
All of this wood is sourced locally in Atlanta from salvaged urban trees. Atlanta Wood Foundation is also a nonprofit.
They have a huge selection from gorgeous slabs for furniture making to little drops that I can use to make pickup covers, control k***s, and ramps. Plus, they do classes.
