Storms and high winds are expected tomorrow, so I'm trying to get ahead on orders today in case we lose power. That’s just part of small business life… you work when you can, not just when it's convenient.
Unfortunately, my boss has other ideas.
Lita has decided she does not work on Sundays and has staged a sit-in protest in the house. She refused to come to the shop and made it clear I am on my own today.
So now I have a serious question…
What do you do when the boss refuses to work, but still expects treats, belly rubs, and full benefits?
Small business owners… I know I can't be the only one dealing with this kind of management.

Just doing my patrol of the Etch N Time Corporate Headquarters campus.

Today’s inspection report:
✔️ Blue skies over the executive lawn
✔️ Fresh country air circulating through the facility
✔️ Security team on high alert for squirrel activity
✔️ Human employee inside pretending to be in charge of the lasers
Everything appears to be running smoothly.
Many companies have boring office buildings…
But here at Etch N Time, our headquarters includes rolling hills, peaceful views, and a full-time canine security department.
Honestly… the biggest problem we have today is deciding if the next meeting should be held:
In the sunshine
On the gravel
Or next to the snack cabinet
Anyway… back to supervising production.
