A quick little project before I head to the hospital this morning. Did you know some seeds benefit from spending a little time hanging out in your fridge for a bit? I’ll be planting more native prairie plants in my own garden this year and these varieties especially like a little cold treatment. Be sure to mark in your calendar when their time is up so you don’t find them in July under the celery! 🙂

Posting from the hospital, things are beginning to look up and Mom is gaining her strength again. She’ll be here for a while longer so I’m going to gently try to make the balance between home, hospital and the mercantile. Plan for the mercantile to be open Friday 10-5 and Saturday 9-1. The mercantile is on pause right now as we navigate Mom’s recovery and healing. I so very appreciate all of you who understand that the life of a small business owner does not exist only inside the walls of their treasured spaces, but that our hearts and responsibilities lay in many places. I am hopeful to be back downtown by the end of the week, for limited hours, and will keep you all in the loop. Thank you again for supporting small business, even when it’s messy and unpredictable.
