PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE READ......
Crocheting cannot be made with a machine, there is no way to make it quickly, it cannot be mass produced, and it can only be made by a human being with a crochet hook and yarn (thread, rope, cording, etc). It typically takes 6-8 hours for me to make a tote bag, plus the cost of yarn. Even buying yarn at wholesale prices for my store, I cannot get the yarn it costs for this pictured item for less than $2.
When you find things in big box stores, online, and on apps like this, you are purchasing from sweat shops and are supporting slave labor. Please support local crocheters or crocheters that you know. Yes, it is going to cost you more, but you're getting quality instead of slave labor.
Please share this with friends and family so they know. Most people think crocheting is like knitting, which can be made on a machine and mass produced. This needs to go viral so we can stop supporting slavery. Big companies with crocheted items in their stores should be ashamed of themselves and should be fined for carrying these items. This is pure cruelty to the people making these items.
