Meet our Chief Lighting Officer… Dad! 💡😂

He’s basically the Clark Griswold of booth lighting, and he takes his job VERY seriously!

Today we’re sharing our favorite lights, setup tricks, and a few things we’ve learned about powering a traveling boutique. Because good lighting makes all the difference!

And yes, I’m pretty sure you can see our booth from space. 🚀

Almost 10,000 pieces of merchandise. Seven sales channels. Three inventory systems that don’t talk to each other. 🤯

Behind every pretty boutique display is a whole lot of counting, reconciling, and figuring out what needs to go where.

Inventory management is one of the biggest challenges of running this business, and we definitely haven’t found the perfect solution!

Where the hell is my trailer?! 😂

Turns out, when Dad agreed to help me run a traveling boutique, he had ONE nonnegotiable rule: NO TRAILER.

So I bought a Chevy Traverse and we’ve spent years perfecting the art of fitting an entire boutique into one SUV. 🚙

Thanks, Dad. 😂❤️

You’d think finishing a three-day show would mean it’s time to relax. 😂

Not quite! Between inventory management, strategic packing, restocking one of our stores, and getting ready for TWO major shows back-to-back, there’s never a dull moment!

Next up: Mistletoe Marketplace in Jackson, Mississippi, followed by Houston Nutcracker Market, our biggest show of the year! 🎄

Two shows down, three to go! 🛍️

The people have spoken! 🛍️✨

A few customer favorites from our weekend at Affair of the Heart in Oklahoma City! From game day style to gifts, games, and clear bags, these were some of the crowd favorites! ❤️🧡

Another city, another boutique to build! 🖤🤍

From an early morning road trip and a few merchandise pickups to driving right onto the show floor (a rare vendor luxury!), it was a full day getting ready for Affair of the Heart in Oklahoma City!

A few finishing touches in the morning, and we’re ready for a fun weekend of shopping!

It takes a few very important team members to get our traveling boutique on the road! 😂 Meet the Car Topper and his trusty sidekick, the Rock-N-Roller Cart. Somehow, we manage to fit an entire boutique into my Chevy Traverse!

Episode 10 | Buying for Show Season 🛍️✨

One last big apparel market of the year! We’re on the hunt for those final pieces for our holiday shows, but sold-out styles and late delivery dates are keeping things interesting.

Thankfully, the afternoon brought some fabulous jewelry finds, a new scarf vendor, and a little fun with boutique friends!

We wrapped up the day with happy hour, a fashion show, and dinner in the Dallas Design District. Not a bad day at the office! 🥂

First show of the holiday season is in the books! 🎉

Some things worked, some things didn’t, and we’re already making changes for the next one! From new displays and customer favorites to a few lessons learned, every show gives us ideas for making the next one even better.

One show down, four to go! 🎉

Apparently, booth teardown is a competitive sport in our family, and my dad takes his one-hour challenge VERY seriously. 😂

Everything was going according to plan… until I lost my phone in a bag of scarves and we had to unload half the car to find it.

So much for Dad’s personal record! 🤦‍♀️

Next stop: Oklahoma City for Affair of the Heart!
