OK, we are getting up there. The POT ended last Friday at $20,361, It is time for everyone to get involved in this great cause. The Card picked Friday was #20 and behind it was the Ace of Hearts. That gave the winner $100 and he donated it back to the cause. Thank you Scott. We only have 20 cards left. The odds of picking the Queen are getting better every week. Of course, your ticket has to be drawn from the bin at 7:30 next Friday. For it to get drawn, you have to buy at least one, and the more you buy, the better your chance. They are only $1 each. So buy more than one to increase your odds of being selected.
Get yourself down to Jim & Jacks sometime this week during the normal hours and purchase your tickets. You can get them from the bar tender or your server. Of course there are advantages to getting them on Friday evening. After about 5:30, Cindy and I are there. If that is not enough, she brings cookies. Homemade usually Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Raisin. You can have as many as you want and you really don't have to buy tickets. But if that is not enough, the best thing about being there on Friday night after 5:30 and if you stay 'til 7:30, you don't have to write anything on your tickets, but you have to stay until after the drawing. So, say you buy 20 tickets, we tear them down the middle, give you one side and we keep the other side and you can go on eating, drinking or both and don't have to write your name, but if you leave and we cannot identify who owns the ticket, you are out of luck. Once a ticket is drawn, if it has no name on it, you have 15 minutes to claim the ticket. If no one claims it, we draw again.
If you cannot make it to Jim and Jacks at all during the week, you can use VENMO to send us money and we will write your name on the tickets for you. Don't forget to include the card # that you want turned over as well as your phone number so we can get in touch with you.
That's enough for this week. I hope to see you next Friday, if not we will post the drawing live on Friday night and you can see who wins the POT. Thanks for reading to the end. I know this post was too long. I hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend. I hope you did something to honor someone who lost their life so we can be free.
