Yes, we will have the John Frederick Lott Sr. bass at the ISB this week. This is a spectacular bass and example of his work circa 1820. Most likely made while he was employed by Thomas Dodd as the varnish is typical of Dodd's mastery. This bass is amazing visually as well as having staggering playing capabilities. The bass has just recently been overhauled in our shop complete with a neck graft to update the geometry to perfect modern standards. The work also included new fingerboard, bridge, endpin and a Bass cellar completely adjustable chromatic C extension.

As promised, attached are some pictures of the newest model from Lakeberg, Roberts and Stetson. This first bass was made in the shop by Bill Lakeberg. This model will now enter into the rotation of the luthier trio. The bass was patterned off of Chris Brown's incredible 1770's Italian. This bass has a spectacular one-piece Ohio Cottonwood back with matching ribs. We will have this bass and many others at the ISB convention. Make sure to drop by our booth and give the bass a whirl.
