They didn't have snickerdoodles at Beverly Ann's cookie truck at this year's WEBN Fireworks, so I got the "Ann"wich with chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Quatman Cafe in Mason keeps it simple: burgers, chili, soups and b**r.

We tried the mock turtle soup they're known for (no turtle in it, almost like a stew), then a half-pound cheeseburger with crispy fries. A truly classic, juicy burger and an easy Hatz approved. Made it out to Quatman's?

Halloween countdown: the scariest things I've eaten from Jungle Jim's International Market Eastgate.

A Pelon Pelonazo tamarind candy that looks like a tube of caulk, ice cream fries with strawberry jam ketchup, sweet corn ice cream and an ice cream chicken burger, plus the wax bottle question at the end.

Happy Fallout Day!

Here's the Quartz from the Jones Fallout taste test we posted earlier this month: it smells almost like Sprite, tastes like a Sprite with vanilla in it, and Sarah's verdict was "Oh, that's delicious."

We grabbed a table outside at Taqueria Nuevo Leon in Withamsville: fresh chips and salsa, a bowl of queso, a chimichanga, and a margarita that was perfect after a long day at work.

Nuevo Leon definitely deserves a Hatz approved.

Guy Fieri ate here, and it's in an old 1800s schoolhouse.

Honestly, the coolest part of dinner at The Schoolhouse Restaurant in Camp Dennison was the lazy Susan in the center of the table.
