GO. BE. LOVE: TRIBUTE to PATTY CRAFT’s CRAFTSMANSHIP.
(Patty- January 5, 1962-February 10, 2026.)

These prayer beads were made by Patty & shipped to a friend in California. Like me, what Patty loved best about beading were the new connections which often became friendships. 💕

EXCERPT FROM ANDREA GIBSON’S WRITING

“…Remind me
all my prayers were answered
the moment I started praying
for what I already have.

Jenny says when people ask if she’s out of the woods,
she tells them she’ll never be out of the woods,
says there is something lovely about the woods.

I know how to build a survival shelter
from fallen tree branches, packed mud,
and pulled moss.

I could survive forever
on death alone.

Cofounder of She Said Beads, Patty, has died. She left us on February 10th, 2026.

Patty was a generous friend, a talented beader, a gifted writer, a devoted prayer yogi. She will be deeply missed.

Hello! Reading Elizabeth Gilbert’s newsletter (Sept 14th) resulted in some head shaking affirmation:

“Here is an interesting question: what else could you be doing with your time and your precious energy, your creativity and your curiosity, your limited but incredibly sacred life force, if you stopped trying to control the people you love?

“What if control isn’t love? What if worry isn’t love? What if we surrender into allowing other people to live their own lives on their own terms (even if it leads them into tremendous trouble and an early grave) and rather than trying to bend them to our will, we just focused instead upon on our own journeys? What art might we make? What adventures might we have? What serenity might we experience? What autonomy might we, finally, come to know?
