Where to begin with Trampier! His work in the early AD&D 1e books is simply incomparable. The number of iconic images he wrought is amazing. For me, it’s his black and white illustrations especially in the Monster Manual that were simply mesmerizing. Remembering the man and the myth on his birthday.
