it was a beautiful evening to enjoy arts & crafts. There were so many categories or classes of artwork. so, I just focused on the best: FIBER ARTS... 😆 but, the weaving was great. There were alot more HANDSPUN Navajo weaving and few weavings made with Navajo-dyed yarns. Weavers are getting more creative which is better for protecting their art from copycats.

I cant wait to see what is displayed at Santa Fe next week.

August 15-16: Santa Fe Indian Market
August 22-23: Ramah Navajo Fair, Pinehills, NM
August 28-29: Sheep Is Life Celebration, Window Rock, AZ
September 5: Totah Arts Festival rug auction, Farmington, NM
September 10-13: Navajo Nation Fair, Window Rock, AZ
October 2-4: Northern Navajo Fair, Shiprock, NM
October 9-11: Western Navajo Fair, Tuba City, AZ
October 10-11: Tuuvi Gathering, Moencopi, AZ
October 16-17: Alamo Indian Days, Alamo, NM

Hopi have a festival/fair on the 1st or 2nd weekend of September in Kykotsmovi, AZ.
Zuni usually have their fair the 3rd weekend in Zuni Pueblo, NM...

I will be going to most of these events to vend and to view fiber arts. I hope to see you.
