When I lack the skill, i make up with tools smarter than myself, or a bigger hammer🤷‍♂️

Restored, and slighlty modified, a vintage Emerson Thompson Navajo watch cuff. Looked like it had been ran over when I pulled it out of the melt bin. Had to make a few replacement parts and finished with cutting 65cts of 💯 natural, unstabilized (lunchbox)kingman turquoise.

Had a great time at the Panhandle Gem & Minerals Shows this weekend in Panama City. Was nice to see so many familiar faces and meet even more new ones. I’m pooped, and this dude is glad I’m back in the swamp 😂. Hopefully I can drag myself out of here and do some more shows🫠

Loading up some new cuts for the gem show in Panama City this weekend.

I have a love/hate relationship with larimar, think anyone that’s attempted to cut it knows what I mean. Some colorful words were used in the making of this tray of little blue rocks 🫠. It’s only found in fumaroles of a dormant volcano found in the Dominican Republic, grows kinda like arterial cholesterol 😂. Anywhere the color changes has potential to fracture, vibrations from cutting can cause the layers to separate in unpredictable ways.

Excited for my first show in Panama City since Hurricane Michael!

Looks like I’m headed towards full blown feral hippie 🤦‍♂️. In process of building an off grid solar powered studio in a swamp🫠. Been going down some permaculture rabbit holes, planted more fruit trees, berries, and grapes along with some vegetable gardens. Growing out the flock of Bresse chickens , maybe some goats or sheep in the near future too😬Had to wrestle a sugulite cab from a chicken... Was def a first for me 😂
Hopefully I’ll remember how to make stuff after I get everything finished 😂. Took longer than expected to get building erected, but passed inspection and starting to finish.
Considering starting online sales, if any of my friends can recommend a good web host service, like Wix or something🤷‍♂️. Been cutting more than making, so thinking about started to sell loose stones. Have most of my lapidary equipment setup, just not the big tumblers for mass production.
Debating on name change also, Still Waters doesn’t seem to fit the chaos over the last few years 😂 Getting the zen back tho 😉
Big thank you to everyone that has supported my endeavors over the years. Will be nice to get back to my bench. Definitely grateful for the accumulation of odd skills I’ve acquired over the years. The “how hard can it be gene” combined with overconfidence in transferable skills is wild 🤪 🌶️🐿️🧠
