Creating is so therapeutic and pleasant for me. Each piece is a journal entry written with the natural materials that I've collected from my many travels, walks, gifts, and gardening. I love getting lost in the details of creation and re-writing a story of moments lived 🌱🐝✨

The year of the fire horse is a swift time for movement and shedding what holds us back. ✨🐎 Lately I've been thinking about the "wilted" parts of ourselves- the old patterns and habits that longer serve us.

In my art, I work with animal bones, taking what remains after death and embellishing it to give it a new story. It's a reminder that death of a version of ourselves isn't something to fear; It's worthy of acceptance. Just as I honor these bones, we can honor the parts of our past that have "died" to make room for growth.

Honoring the end of a cycle is just as important as celebrating a beginning. It's all an act of gratitude for the life we are living now. Let's be okay with letting go. 🤍💀🌿

This year of the horse, I'm focused on the power of moving forward. But you can't run full speed when you're carrying the weight of old patterns.

Día de los Mu***os is a beautiful, joyous holiday that celebrates life and honors the memory of family and friends who have passed away. Instead of mourning, it's a vibrant celebration where families welcome the return of their loved ones' spirits for one night. It’s a day of remembrance, colorful tradition, music, and beautiful altars 🏵️💀❤️

I can't believe it's been a week since the in Seattle. So glad to have had the opportunity to participate again this year and enjoyed soaking up the good vibes.
